These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Platform of UKNotes. UKNotes advises you to thoroughly read these Terms and Conditions in order to ensure that you are aware of your rights and obligations.

These Terms and Conditions, inter alia, describe the following aspects of the relationship between you and UKNotes:

1  -  Definitions
The following meanings apply unless the contrary intention appears:

  • We, Us and Our mean UKNotes.

  • You means users of the UKNotes Website, including but not limited to Buyers, and Members.

  • Buyer means a person who purchases or offers to purchase Eligible Notes.

  • Member means a person who has applied to be a member of the UKNotes Website and whose application has been accepted by UKNotes. This person holds a Membership.

  • Eligible Notes includes notes, study guides and exam templates but does not include assignments or take-home exams.

2  -  Service provided
The purpose of the UKNotes Website is to create relevant and useful services for students. UKNotes is a platform for:

  • UKNotes Tutors to offer training and career services for students and graduates.

  • UKnotes to offer and sell Eligible Notes to the public. 

 

UKNotes’s objective in operating uknotes.education is to assist and encourage students with their studies, and operate a fair and efficient learning platform for educational aids and materials. The Website may only be used by current or recent graduates of universities in the United Kingdom. Via UKNotes platform, students can:

  • schedule a tutoring class in the available lesson slots via tutor's online booking page (www.uknotes.education/class);

  • find study materials like literature summaries, revision notes, or sample test papers for their courses.

3  -  Membership

  • If a person agrees to these Terms and Conditions, they may apply (sign up) to be a Member of the UKNotes Website. If UKNotes accepts a person's application, that person becomes a Member. 

  • UKNotes reserves the unrestricted right to refuse Membership and to suspend, terminate or restrict a Member's use of the UKNotes Website. 

  • Membership is non-transferrable and you agree to not disclose your username or password to any other person.

 

4  -  Copyright & Intellectual Property Dispute

  • Eligible Notes offered on UKNotes platform is only to be used as a study aid. You are not permitted to submit Eligible Notes found on UKNotes as your own work if it is not, as this is in breach of copyright. This is also plagiarism and constitutes academic misconduct at all academic institutions.

  •  you believe any Notes listed on the UKNotes may infringe your intellectual property rights (including copyright) please notify UKNotes in writing via the online feedback page (uknotes.education/feedback), and provide details including the Note’s document title, associated university, associated subject code and the document-specific url, the subject of the allegation, the grounds for the potential infringement and your contact details (Notice). Acknowledgement of receipt of your Notice will be sent to you within 48 hours..

5  -  No cheating
UKNotes has full discretion to ban students and take steps which UKNotes exercising its full discretion deems appropriate including notifying the relevant university, where:

​

  • a Student asks a Tutor to complete an assignment on their behalf;

  • a Tutor offers to complete an assignment on behalf of the Student;

  • a party otherwise acts inappropriately or engages in illegal conduct when arranging a tutoring session or during a tutoring session.

6  -  Liability and rules of use
When you access or use the UKNotes Website, you agree:
•    you are responsible for ensuring that your use of UKNotes complies with all relevant laws;
•    to the UKNotes Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions;
•    you are responsible for becoming aware of, and adhering to, your university’s policies.
•    you will not hold UKNotes liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of your use of the UKNotes Website, whether or not that loss or damage was caused by UKNotes or another user of the UKNotes Website;
•    you will not use the UKNotes Website to infringe the Intellectual Property Rights of another person;
•    you will not hold UKNotes liable for any infringement of your Intellectual Property Rights;
•    you will not distribute viruses to or through the UKNotes Website, use a robot, spider or scraper to harvest material (including email addresses) from the UKNotes Website or bypass any measure used to prevent and control access to the UKNotes Website;
