ECON10262: Macroeconomics 2 explores long-run macroeconomic issues including economic growth, savings, investment, innovation, unemployment, and inflation. The course examines why some countries are wealthier than others by linking theoretical models with real-world data, thereby offering a rigorous approach to understanding economic disparities. A key aim is to provide a self-contained introduction to long-run macroeconomics that prepares students for more specialised courses in subsequent years.
