The aim of the module is to enable students to prepare complete single entity and consolidated financial statements, as well as extracts from those financial statements, in line with a broad range of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In addition, students will be expected to explain accounting and reporting concepts, address ethical issues, and apply IFRS to both individual company and group scenarios. The content of the module covers international accounting and reporting concepts and ethics, the preparation of single company financial statements, and the production of consolidated financial statements.

Prerequisites for this module include either ACCT1061 Financial Accounting or ACCT1041 Introduction to Financial Accounting. Students should note that this module cannot be taken in combination with ACCT2031 Corporate Financial Reporting.
